“Muslim track star disqualified”

Washington: A high school track star has been disqualified from a meet because oficial said the custom-made outfit she wears to conform to her Muslim faith violated competition rules……………..

I read this news from my local daily. I’m not surprised. This is just another problem the Muslims are facing to add to other outfit-related problems such as the wearing of headscarves. But this news took my attention because it happened in the sporting field. For me, I think sports should be free from any gender,racial,political,religious related problems. Let the atheletes wear whatever outfits they want. What’s the problem? Some atheletes even wear sexy, almost naked outfits and were allowed to compete, why can’t those who are fully attired to cover their whole body being barred from competing? Is there any bias or double standard being practiced? Even in sports where we must compete evenly?

Politician shot down gangland style!

Another MIC big wig was shot down by an unknown gunman yesterday in Johor. He was the 2nd MIC big-shot to be gunned down. Is Malaysia going towards cowboys era of persecution? I hope not! Come on police, let get this straight!
